Atlantic Row 4 sense - home

We have finished and landed in Barbados

THANK YOU TO ALL FOR THEIR SUPPORT OF OUR ROW, IN PARTICULAR:

WOODVALE CHALLENGE & OCEAN ROWING SOCIETY INTERNATIONAL, FOR THEIR ASSISTANCE WITH THE ROW.

SCUBATEC & SEA - SEA FOR OUR UNDERWATER PHOTOGRAPHY.

ALL THE STAFF AT PORT ST CHARLES, BARBADOS FOR THEIR HOSPITALITY.

In early January 2008, Matt Boreham and Alan Lock left the cold and cloudy climes of England for Tenerife.  Sadly for them, this is no winter break to the sun, but the starting point of an arduous and gruelling challenge.  They will be rowing the 3000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean from Tenerife to Antigua.

This may sound a rather extreme start to the year, but it is all in a good cause - the challenge will be raising money for sense, which supports deaf and blind people.

They will be attempting this voyage in their craft GEMINI – which will be their home for duration of the challenge.  Matt and Alan will be at sea for 2 – 3 months and whilst they are confident of witty and stimulating conversations, both are storing up their ipods for the long haul….

THE SET UP COSTS OF THE CHALLENGE HAVE ALREADY BEEN MET WITH CORPORATE SUPPORT – ALL DONATIONS GO STRAIGHT TO SENSE.
